"Out of the Box" Youth Exchange in Torre del Greco

In June 2026, a group of young people represented LFI in a KA152 Youth Exchange project titled “Out of the Box: Creativity against Poverty”, hosted in Torre del Greco, Italy, by the hospitable Gli Occhi di Claudio ODV association.

The project brought together young people from Finland, Italy, Turkey and Hungary for an inspiring week of international exchange, non-formal learning and collaborative activities. Throughout the programme, participants explored poverty, social inclusion and related challenges, with a particular focus on how creativity can be used as a tool for raising awareness, expressing ideas and developing new approaches to social issues.

Through workshops, discussions, teamwork and creative activities, the young participants had opportunities to share their experiences and perspectives while learning from people from different cultural backgrounds.  Of course, a youth exchange is about much more than workshops! The participants also had the opportunity to experience Italian culture and summertime in the beautiful surroundings of Torre del Greco and the Naples area, while making new international friendships and creating lasting memories.

The week was a wonderful combination of learning, creativity, cultural exchange and fun, demonstrating the value of bringing young Europeans together to explore important social issues.
