Skills4Integration project
1.8.2022
Skills for Integration of Migrants, Refugees and Asylum Seekers is a project that addresses the integration of adult refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who have notable disadvantages in literacy, numeracy and digital skills
Skills for Integration Erasmus+ project consortium consists of 6 organisations: Welcome Home International from Belgium, Tropical Astral from Portugal, Innovation Frontiers from Greece, Synthesis from Cyprus and the coordinator; Stichting Vrouw en Welzijn from the Netherlands. The project addresses the integration of adult refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who have notable disadvantages in literacy, numeracy and digital skills. Literacy, numeracy and digital skills are fundamental to master typical situations in everyday working life. Competence deficits in these areas can prove to be an obstacle to permanent and successful integration into the labour market.
The consortium had a TPM meeting in July 2022 in Vilamoura, Portugal, hosted by Tropical Astral. Unfortunately the meeting was interrupted by a fire nearby on the first day. The second day was held without interruptions, as luckily the fire had been put out by then.
Currently, the consortium is developing materials to enhance the literacy, numeracy and digital skills of migrants and refugees for the training course, which will also be provided in a digital form in the WebApp.
