Come along to Kallio Libary on 16.2.2013 to celebrate the Mother Language Day 2013!

International Mother Language Day at Kallio Library is a multi-language reading circle open to all ages organised by Learning for integration ry in cooperation with Kallio Library. International Mother Language Day(IMLD) was proclaimed by UNESCO's General Conference in November 1999.

Ever wondered how does a children's story sound like in Russian, Romanian or Japanese? Do you know that the Helsinki City Library has vast collections of books for children in smaller or less resourced languages? Would you like to find out about the resources available at the library in your own mother tongue?

Come join us into the world of fairy tales 16 February 2013 in Kallio Library Satulinna, 3rd floor (Viides linja 11, Helsinki). Through out the day native speakers will introduce children's books in a variety of languages and from a variety of cultures with the aim to increase awareness of resources and books available at the library.
